Artworks of Cincinnati teamed up once again with Children's Hospital to complete a very ambitious mural project. The job here was to create additional art based on previous designs already finished for the waiting rooms of Hematology and Gastroentology (for GI see work in New Projects section). Our group consisted of five lead artists and nearly twenty high school folks, and we needed to tackle thirty spaces in only six-weeks time. The task involved artwork that would liven up the adjoining exam rooms, one centered on animals and the other based on a nautical theme. Our age group was geared for kids around 3 and up, so we wanted the work to be fun and colorful. So...we developed pieces into giant cutouts, onto 5-foot panels that would later be installed on site, and painted them with lots of color in a graphic style.
